First Day: Moving in day
It was overwhelming and extremely exciting to meeting my roommates, meeting the facilitator that going to handle us throughout the week and also seeing your room for the first time. Once we're done unpacking our things, we are called to assemble briefing for our orientation. It was nice to meet all the facilitator and did some icebreaking to make us feel less anxious. Overall, the first day wasn't that bad for me.
Our college facilitator helps us to bring our stuff upstairs.
Our first briefing at our college's cafe.
We ended our meeting around 11:00 pm. We were told to be prepared for the next day which is going to be a huge day for us! Of course, my first night I was quite excited going to bed which is going to be my next home for now on. Expecting more good thing to come!!
The starting of the next day~
All of us need to wake up on 5:00 am and prepared ourselves for that day. To be honest, I was still tired because of unpacking my stuff last night and we got into our room pretty late also. But I was excited what are we going to discover for that day. Also, I'm glad that the food is provided throughout the week.
Our first stop is Dewan Counselor Tun Abdul Razak (DECTAR). I was in amazed as soon step in and take a look in every angle inside the hall. It was my first time entering such a huge hall and it was totally stunning.
This was shot from my point of view inside the hall.
Our first day are most likely spend at DECTAR, they prepared so many events for us and introducing every department in UKM and also how do we contact them. We also had a cheer for our college, each college had their own cheer which is very interesting! The first day I get to know few of my neighbour rooms and also my college mate. I had so much fun on my day 1!
Third Day: Trip to my faculty!
On the others day, our facilitator brought us to see our faculty which is Faculty of Economics and Management. It's not far from my college. It's takes me around 15 minutes to reach there by walking. On the way there, we could explore a lot of things. On things to be sure is, we were being greeted by monkeys! Quite scary at first but as long as they didn't attack me, I'm okay with it 😂. We had to walk pass through Canselori UKM, Pusanika and also Perpustakaan Tun Sri Lanang (PTSL).

I enjoyed the view of trees so much. It's makes me feel calm. Once we get to the faculty, I just love how the structure and old look of the building. I feel like this kind of old building represent UKM the most, every building looking quite the same. After that, we split up into lectures hall for the first briefing session of the day. We were being introduced to all the head departments in the faculty. It was such very longggg session.

Lastly, we ended our day at the faculty with a small meeting in a group with the designated lecturers. It was nice meeting the lecturer, we all had a small introduction about ourselves and a little bit chit-chat about university life. Overall, I had so much fun on that day! Such a great moments on my first impressions of my faculty.
Fourth Day: Going for aerobics at Dewan Gemilang~
Starting our day at early in the morning for some aerobics. Dewan Gemilang quite far from my college. I remember I was having a hard time climbing the cliff, it was really tiring 😭. Once we arrived there, we did some stretching and continue to aerobics session. To be honest, it was fun and exciting, but I couldn't tolerate with the hot weather. The sun literally in front of me. I can't even see what's in front of me. Just feels the music and follow steps from the person in front of me.
Next, for evening sessions we had some activities in our college. Halfway during the activities, I volunteered myself to go and being a supporter for my own college netball's friendly.

Later night, we had a parade show from each college at the stadium. Love the environment there, it was so cheerful and colorful! My college theme was kind of a soldier vibes since our college is a PALAPES college. But not all of us are from PALAPES. PALAPES is a club that student can join if they were interested to be a soldier.

After all the show ended, we get to watched football's friendly between students and lecturers. It was my first-time watching football match live! The game ended with the winning of the lecturers's team 👏. Our night comes to an end with a surprise of a fireworks. I really didn't expect such a thing like this in university. It was a memorable memory ever!

Last day of the orientation~
We got our last event at DECTAR to be officially a part of UKM. The event was full of different performance and also theater. It was very exciting and stirring! I love the performances especially the traditional performances. It was lovely and superb.
Later on, we get to listen a speech from a very inspiring and popular person who is an alumnus in UKM, Mohd Sukur Ibrahim. He is and entrepreneur and also a motivational speaker and a writer of motivational books. I'm really touched by his words and passion that he had to become a successful person.
After all the speech and performances are done, we had to read the pledge and officially become one of the UKM members. Then the event continued with our university's ultras. I was quite shocked to know that we had our own ultras members here, it was very happening! The ultras were an opening of DECTAR war. We had to scream out our cheers to fight with another college's cheers without lights and air-conditioner. It was really hot, and I remember how we all was out of our breathe. A big thanks to our facilitators and seniors that help the fans us at the back, give us water and let us rest. They really taking a good care of us.
This is one of the shots of our ultras.

Unfortunately, KTHO is not a winner for that night. We got back to our college around 2:00 am. Not going to lie I was pretty exhausted too and kind of want us to go back early since it quite late already. I was extremely happy to have one of these moments in my life. It was a great memory to start a university life.
That's all my experience from the first week in UKM. Had a lot of fun throughout the week!
Thank you for reading~
